For nearly six decades, Lee’s Honda Kawasaki has been a cornerstone of Redding’s powersports scene. Located at 2230 Larkspur Lane since 1967, the dealership has built a reputation for offering the widest selection of Honda, Kawasaki, and Polaris vehicles and accessories in the North State. Over the years, they’ve grown to meet the demand of an ever-expanding community of riders, recently adding 2,000 square feet to their showroom and a 7,000 square foot warehouse to keep up with the increasing demand for new products.
Zach, the current General Manager, has been with the dealership for over a decade. He started as a salesman at 25, and today, he runs the operation with the same commitment to the community and customers that’s been a hallmark of Lee’s Honda since day one. “It’s not just about the bikes,” Zach says. “It’s about the people who ride them—the community that’s built around it.”
Lee’s Honda Kawasaki isn’t your typical dealership. While you’ll find all the latest bikes, ATVs, and parts, the real draw is the laid-back, friendly vibe. Customers don’t just come to make a purchase—they come to connect with other riders, swap stories, and build relationships. “It’s more than a dealership, it’s a community hub,” Zach says. “People come in, hang out, and talk about riding. We try to make it feel like family here.”
Dean Lee, who founded the dealership with his father in 1967, built the business on a simple principle: take care of the customer, and they’ll take care of you. That mindset has paid off—Lee’s Honda Kawasaki has a loyal customer base that spans generations. Dean’s philosophy is clear: “Just take care of the customer and they will take care of you.”
The dealership’s growth isn’t just about size; it’s about service. Lee’s expanded their Parts Department and built a dedicated “tire room” for motorcycle tires. They also stay active in the community, from sponsoring local events to supporting charities like the Rescue Mission.
Zach’s love for riding keeps him grounded in the industry. He’s been into powersports since he was a kid, and today, he’s passing that love onto his own children. “I’ve been riding since I was three,” he says. “It’s just part of me. I take my daughter riding now, and it keeps it fun and fresh for me.”
Redding offers some of the best local riding in the state, and Zach is quick to point out local trails like the OHV Park behind the dam, Dove Flats, and Potato Butte. “We’ve got some great spots around here,” he says. “It’s awesome to be able to ride here, and then come back to the dealership and chat about it.”
Lee’s Honda Kawasaki isn’t just about selling products—it’s about creating a space where riders can connect, share experiences, and continue to foster the local riding culture.
