Brian Kane has made a lasting impact on the powersports industry. His journey from a teenage automotive enthusiast to an influential leader has shaped dealership training for the future.

Brian started in the automotive world at just 15 years old, working part-time after school in a multi-location automotive parts department. He then joined Genuine Parts Company, the sister company of NAPA Auto Parts, where he trained as a young executive. In 1998, he decided to move to Arizona. He found a small but growing group of stores called Arizona Motorsports Group, now RideNow Powersports. They needed a Parts and Accessories Director. With his automotive background and lifelong enthusiasm for powersports—snowmobiles, ATVs, dirt bikes, and boating—it was the perfect fit. He interviewed, and two days later, he got the job.

The company soon went into acquisition mode. They expanded from six stores to 19 across Florida, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, and North Carolina. Brian played a key role, often the first on the ground, handling buy-sell deals and training new and existing staff. Later, he moved to North Carolina to manage a seven-franchise store which he led through economic downturn of 2008–2010. When RideNow restructured, Brian changed career paths and became an entrepreneur, a period he describes as pivotal to the way he trains dealerships now.

Brian Kane returned to the powersports industry in 2017 when the former RideNow COO called him with an opportunity. Brian moved back to Arizona and hasn’t left powersports since. To him, it’s more than a business–a longtime Level 4 USA Hockey coach, he draws a parallel between skating and powersports: they give people the same smile.

Brian believes that the powersports industry is filled with “good people who need good training”. His favorite part of work is watching employees he trained early in their careers become successful later. Brian Kane looks forward to his latest training venture, a course with DealerHero Bootcamps. As the powersports industry evolves, leaders like Brian Kane ensure progress isn’t just a possibility—it’s a reality driven by vision, experience, and relentless dedication.
