Airtec Sports: an Interview with Jason Zwiefelhofer

Jason Zwiefelhofer, Vice President of Airtec Sports, has helped grow the dealership into a trusted, multi-location brand across Wisconsin. With two decades of experience, Jason values long-term relationships, community involvement, and low-pressure service. Airtec stands out by delivering fun, quality powersports experiences that make life more enjoyable for their customers.

Jason Zwiefelhofer, Vice President of Airtec Sports, has been with the company for two decades, helping it grow into one of the region’s most recognized powersports dealerships. While his main office is at the corporate headquarters, his role takes him across all of Airtec’s locations, including Menomonie, Rice Lake, Roberts, and beyond. “I don’t really have one home base,” Jason jokes. “There are just a lot of places I need to be.”

Jason’s journey with Airtec Sports began in 2005 when he joined as a sales associate at the company’s original location. “I’ve always been into motorsports, so it was a great opportunity.” In 2009, he took on the role of general manager, and when the dealership expanded to multiple locations, he stepped into his current role as Vice President. Now, with six locations across Wisconsin, Jason has been a key part of the company’s growth.

When asked about what makes Airtec Sports different, Jason highlights the company’s stability and trusted reputation. “We’ve been around for a long time, and we’ve grown a lot, which people recognize as a sign that we’re doing things right. We also have long-term employees—myself included—and that consistency builds trust. Customers see familiar faces when they visit, which matters a lot.”

Airtec’s approach to customer service is laid-back and welcoming. “We’re not a high-pressure dealership,” Jason explains. “We want people to take their time, feel comfortable, and leave happy with their decision.” That philosophy extends to the products Airtec offers. “What we’re selling isn’t something people need; it’s something they want. It’s about creating opportunities for people to enjoy life, whether it’s on an ATV, a side-by-side, or a snowmobile.”

Community involvement is another area where Airtec Sports stands out. Jason is personally involved with the Lions Club and emphasizes the dealership’s role in supporting local events and youth sports across their locations. “It’s not just about sponsorships,” he says. “It’s about showing up and being part of the community. That connection is important, and it helps build trust.”

Looking ahead to 2025, Jason is optimistic. “We’re focusing on continued growth, especially in our finance and insurance department. And, of course, we’re always hoping to see new and exciting products from manufacturers.”

When asked about his favorite part of the job, Jason doesn’t hesitate. “It’s the excitement,” he says. “What we sell is fun, and it’s great to see people’s faces light up when they make a purchase. It’s not like buying a car because you have to—it’s about buying something that makes life more enjoyable. That’s the best part for me.”

As Airtec Sports continues to grow, Jason and his team remain committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere, quality service, and products that bring joy to their customers.
